Instagram's live video - here's how to disable notifications
The Facebook-owned photo sharing service "Instagram" Launched live video in some of the countries starting with United States of America (USA).
Now the service has been extended to the UK as well as to Germany, France, Brazil, Canada and Japan, enabling users to broadcast as well as watch live streams on the social media app for the first time.
Instagram said the videos give the Instagram community "another way to connect with friends and followers, in the moment, and in a fun, low-pressure way".
However, not everyone is enamoured with the feature - which sends a notification to all you followers every time you post a live video.
In fact, some users find it positively infuriating:
Luckily, there is a way to mute certain people if you don't want to get a notification every time they go live.
To do this, hold down on their profile photo at the top of your feed. A pop-up window will show up and you can mute them.
Just remember, this means you won't see their live video or Instagram stories. Unfortunately, you can't disable all live video notifications - you can only mute individual users.
